\nUnder the slogan \u201cJourney to a Greener Future,\u201d miners and floaters from Majdanpek organized an action of cleaning and arranging of workspace. \u2013 Since 2020 the Environmental Protection Division of the RBM Branch of Serbia Zijin Copper has reclaimed 500,000 square meters of slope areas of the dam of the flotation tailings pond \u201cValja Fundata\u201dand \u00a0investing around 200 million dinars in land remediation and greening<\/strong><\/p>\n \nRBM \u2013 <\/strong>Under the slogan \u201cJourney to a Greener Future,\u201d on June 5th<\/sup>, miners and floaters from Majdanpek celebrated International Environmental Protection Day in their way. They joined together in an action of cleaning and arranging of workspace, making the mining and factory parks of the RBM Branch in Serbia Zijin Copper shine.<\/p>\n \n\u2013\u201cThe goal of this action was to show the importance of sustainable development. The RBM workers are aware that only through responsible behavior and environmental preservation can we leave a cleaner and more beautiful environment for future generations. The focus was on collecting plastic waste and arranging green areas around all facilities and workshops. The response was great, and the action was completed in excellent mood and socialization,\u201d <\/strong>said Aleksandra Anti\u0107<\/strong>, Deputy Manager of the Environmental Protection Division.<\/p>\n \nOn the occasion of celebrating this important date, the Environmental Protection Division of the RBM Branch of SERBIA ZIJIN COPPER DOO announced that they have been working hard on reclaiming the slopes of the fifth dam of the flotation tailings pond \u201cValja Fundata\u201d for four years. Since 2020, 500,000 square meters have been reclaimed, with around 200 million dinars invested in land remediation and greening.<\/p>\n \n\u2013 \u201cWe conduct greening and reclamation to strengthen the stability of the dam, but also to improve the air quality around the area of the flotation tailings dam. So far, 80% of the slopes on the dams are covered with a green \u201ccarpet,\u201d and we will strive to green the rest of the slopes on the dam 5 of the flotation tailings pond \u201cValja Fundata\u201d by the end of this year,\u201d<\/strong> emphasized Lin Bin<\/strong>, Manager of the Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Protection, and Environmental Protection Divisions.<\/p>\n \nThey say that by the end of the year, another 150,000 square meters of the dam 5 slopes of the \u201cValja Fundata\u201d flotation tailings pond will be greened, and that actions contributing to the improvement of the ecological order will be more frequent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
